In a post about a month ago titled Dancing on the Ceiling, I explored some interesting things regarding Lionel Richie's song by that same name.
One of the things that I called out in that post, that only struck me in the course of writing it, was a dance move and pose that reminded me of a scene from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. I called it another Easter Egg at the time, but didn't have any additional ideas or insights into the link other than I have called out some individual story elements from both videos (for the Bill and Ted rough allegory, see this post)
Here are the two relevant pictures that I had in that post from Richie's video and the scene from Bill and Ted's.
In that post, you can get a better view of the dance move and pose in the videos that I also included there (I added the Bill and Ted scene again toward the end of this post).
Anyway, in both scenes a sign is made by extending the left arm out, while the right arm is raised above the head.
In Dancing on the Ceiling, this is the sign or motion that was made by the dancers once Lionel Richie had entered the room. In the case of Bill and Ted's, a smaller guitar motion was made by the floating, seated tribunal. After Bill and Ted reciprocated the sign, then a large group of people came out to greet them using the same sign and motion (the guitar strum).
I was looking at a picture of the Orion constellation the other day, and what do you know, guess who is also striking the same pose as he walks across our sky?
That's right - Orion is exhibiting the same pose as we see in these other videos. The right hand lifted high, and the left extended to the left.
I went back and rewatched that Bill and Ted scene, and another thing struck me that reminded me of the LDS temple drama. In the endowment session, Adam is given a name which he is told not to disclose, but there is a sign associated with it that he can. As mentioned in my earlier post, when Bill and Ted arrive at this future spot the 3 floating beings simply call them "you" ("It's you!"), to which Ted responds "Yeah, it's us!" and then asks Bill "Who are we?" to which Bill merely shrugs.
Thus, no names are disclosed, but the floating beings respond to this inability to express their names by demonstrating the sign. The sign is in response to the question of "What are our names?" essentially. In other words, the sign is given by the Beings to specifically answer Ted's question without verbally speaking the name. Bill and Ted respond with the same sign, and it is at this point that the group gathers around them and gives this same sign.
This is actually pretty much how it happens when Adam and Eve meet with Peter, James, and John in the temple drama. No names are exchanged, even though they are asked for, but the sign associated with that hidden name is in fact given. It is after giving the sign that these Beings known each other, and can trust each other. Adam will actually say, once having seen this sign, that he knows these Beings are true messengers, and encourages others to hear them.
This bears out in Bill and Ted's experience. Once this sign is exchanged - the one that is associated with Orion and which the Elves, according to Tolkien, would have first seen when they woke up at Cuivienen - the floating Beings wish for Bill and Ted to say something, or teach them, which they oblige by sharing some profound wisdom.

What I will now suggest, and perhaps explore in a later post as part of my thoughts around Orion and the Being he represents, is that the name that this sign represents is likely THE NAME. The name of redemption, specifically the redemption of the Eldar, who woke up seeing the promise of that sign in the sky. It is both their beginning and it signified "the end", in that Menelmacar-Orion was a sign of the Final Battle at the end of days, and the ultimate victory of the Family of Light.
Alpha and Omega. Beginning and End.
