Love Shack, the song by the B-52s, has been a song that keeps coming up for me. This morning it has been going through my head, with the phrase "Heading down the Atlanta highway" from the opening verse just popping up at random times.
A careless listener might assume that the band is singing the lyrics just as I typed it there, in that these people are riding down a highway in or near Atlanta, Georgia. But no! It is actually the Atalantë Highway that these people trying to reach the Love Shack are on (it is a very similar sounding word, so I don't blame you for not hearing it correctly). By that highway, I mean the one that is going to be cast up from the deep when Numenor is restored.
It seems that the people trying to get in must have forgotten a step in their journey to this countryside shack, though. They knock 3 times on the door (which seems to be standard protocol to get into special doors or locations based on what we've seen from a myriad of sources ranging from Indiana Jones to LDS endowments) but the voice replies that he can't hear them.
No keys for the door, I assume, and no one can hear them banging at the door to be let in. Oh well.
