Twos-day: San Ramon, another Walt, and flying into the Sun

I am here at SFO airport waiting to fly a red-eye back home.  I flew out to California directly from my son's hockey tournament in Philadelphia.  I dropped him off on a flight going back home to Minnesota, and I got on a different plane out here to San Francisco for some meetings yesterday and today in San Ramon.

It was kind of interesting being out in San Ramon because this is where I was born (I guess technically I was born in a hospital in Walnut Creek, but our house was in San Ramon).  My parents moved up to Oregon when I would have been less than 2 years old, though.  I have never been back, so I have no memory of living here.

I called my folks when I landed and let them know I was going to be in San Ramon for a couple days.  They went down memory lane talking about where we used to live.  Apparently they had passed through again quite a few years ago, and had gone by our old house, but it had been torn down and a much larger house had been built in its place (a 'monstrosity' as my Dad called it).   They mentioned the street it was on, and that it had been just a block or two down the street from an elementary school named Walt Disney Elementary School.

I looked it up on a map and decided it wasn't too far to go on a run one morning from my hotel before my meetings started to go check it out.  Why not.

This morning I went on a run over there, found the elementary school. and took a picture of the sign by the school's park so I could send it over to my parents.  I then found what I thought might be the house that was built in the place of the one we used to live in (I haven't sent it over yet to see if my guess was right or wrong).

I was in a hurry to get back in time for my meetings, and I was pretty busy the rest of the day with meetings, so I didn't really give it too much more thought.

Later, after everything was wrapped up and I was headed to the airport, I pulled up the picture again of the Walt Disney sign and noticed that it featured a picture of a bird that one might imagine as flying into the sun.  It turns out that this is the logo of the city of San Ramon.  I believe the bird is meant to be a crow.  Given that I have used or noticed other imagery of things flying into the Sun on this blog (Rabbits, Star Ships, and even my dream where I walked into the Sun), it stood out to me.  Here is my picture of the sign, followed by a larger logo image for the city I pulled off the internet:

And I just noticed as I was pulling in the Walt Disney picture that we have another reference to a Walt or Walter.  Go figure.

Interestingly, Ramon as a name has come up on this blog in the form of some of my 2020 words that I've shared in a couple places, most recently in the post  An Usher roller skating around a Black Hole.  In that post, I noted the name of the singer Usher was Raymond, and that this was a form of the name Raymon that I had written down on March 28, 2020, and which I believe applied to Faramir-Eonwe.

Birthdays and I'm feeling 22

Maybe because I was born in San Ramon and I was on a flight going there, I suddenly realized another connection to the number 22.  That is the day of the month I was born.  July 22nd.  I only realized this because while sitting on the plane, I looked at the safety card in the back of the seat and it indicated it had been revised on 02/22.  I mean, I knew I was born on July 22nd, I just hadn't ever made any connection between that as a date with 22 as a number as it has come up in dreams and other things, for whatever reason.  It must have been seeing 22 in the form of a date that made me finally think about it in this way.

In any case, 22 has come up for me in dream phrases and games, such as the little girl asking her father to play at "2 tonight", which I changed into Tutu night, or Tudu night.  However, in thinking about this now, perhaps "22 night" also works.  In this other way of writing it, you would have night mean dark or dim, and come up with "22 Dark or Dim", which I think has some meaning here.  "22 Fragrances" was another phrase in my dreams with that number, and of course, The Rock played up 22 in his WWE promo.

The other interesting thing about flying out yesterday (Monday) and finally noticing that 22 was the same number as my birthday, is that over on William Tychonievich's blog, he wished a singer a happy birthday.  Birthday thoughts were in the air, apparently.

But, there was another interesting connection to this number I thought of.  A few days ago, William wrote a post with the simple title of "Tuesday".  I had left a comment turning the word into "Tiu's Day", and noting some interesting translations or meaning of the word, specifically in context of Orion, since that character has been on my mind.

However, I realized that there was another game with Tuesday:  Twos Day.  As in the Day of Twos.  There is only one day of the month, obviously, that multiple Twos and thus can be called Twos Day, and that is the 22nd.

Further, I noted a little funny symbolism with the actual date of my birthday that could be an interesting little wink that this story of Orion and the 7 Daughters is perhaps on the right path.

July is the 7th month of the year, and you would write out my birthday as 7-22 in numeric form.  In looking at in in this way, I noted that you would accurately say that 22 follows after the number 7.  In my post on Remmirath (the Netted Stars), I wrote that just as Orion follows the 7 Daughters through the sky, Faramir-Eonwe would follow the 7 Daughters.  Here, in numeric form, you have 22 following 7.

But why the number 22 here for Orion?   Well, one reason might be the fact that he comprises one member of two sets of twins that seem to form the parentage of the Family of Light.  You have Asenath-Nimloth and Faramir-Eonwe, and Ilmare-Eowyn and Joseph-Lorien, as the sibling pairs, and these pairs are joined together by marriage.  So, in my mind, perhaps the 22 is symbolic of this group, as in he is a "22".

This makes more sense than I probably even give it credit for, honestly, and thus makes those earlier dream references with the 22 number and word games also make more sense.  The 22 Dark (night) for example is a good description for the current state of Faramir-Eonwe, actually.  If he is on this Earth, as I suspect, then he will be Dark in the same way I have argued that the Lamanites were Dark... he will not be a luminous or shining Being of Light, but rather with a body that is Dark - like ours.  A skin of Blackness.  

Further, think of the symbolism of the Oreo Cookie.  In my post likening Faramir to the symbolism of the Oreo, you have a Black Sun.  A symbol of an eclipse and New Moon shining, yes, but also a Sun with no Light.  Black.  The Oreo Cookie is Black on the outside, but White on the inside.  Pied, after a manner.

This then also points to the symbolism of the San Ramon logo at the beginning of this post.  A Black bird (crow) flying into the Sun.
